Who we are

Who runs Watchman, how to contact us, and that we are the data controller under UK GDPR.

What we collect

Your name and email; the practices you keep, your ticks, reflections, week reviews and messages; replies and suggestions from coaches; basic app diagnostics; support emails.

Your faith data

Why practices, reflections and messages count as information about religious belief (special category data), and that we only store them with your explicit consent, which you can withdraw.

Why we use it and our lawful basis

Contract for running your account; explicit consent for faith data; legitimate interests for security and fixing problems.

Who can see it

Only you and the coaches you choose. Coaches see submitted reviews and your week grid, never drafts. Removing a coach removes their access.

Where it's stored

Our hosting and email providers, the countries their servers are in, and the safeguards in place.

How long we keep it

While your account is open; what happens when you delete it, and how long backups take to clear.

What we don't do

We don't sell or share your data, show ads, or use it to train AI.

Your rights

Access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, objection, withdrawing consent, and complaining to the ICO.

Deleting your account

How to delete your account in the app or by email, and what gets deleted.

Cookies and tracking

This website sets no cookies and uses no analytics or tracking. The app uses no advertising identifiers.

Changes to this policy

How we'll tell you about changes, and the date this version took effect.
